Just had a long debate with 3 this evening. Following promises and promises that my coverage problems would be addressed and these not being done I returned my modems. I was told that I had renewed my contract when I got a new modem even though this did not work properly. I must now pay 209.09 Early Termination Fee. They eventually said that secondary technical would carry out a check and refund me if problems found. Before that they were threatening me with Credit Companies if I did not pay. I have now switched to Eircom for reliability.

Just a quick update to this (old old) post.

One of the reasons for the placement of the code at the bottom of the page is that it allows the main page content to load in first. Your users see what is important to them rendered first.

As a follow on point to this the new Google Analytics snippet is asynchronous. Basically this means that it is isn't going to hold up the page loading (unlike the previous method) so it is even less intrusive on the user experience. Note however that its placement is the opposite of the; the asynchronous Analytics code is placed near the top of the page in the <head> section.

The reason for the code being at the bottom of the page instead of the top is to stop it conflicting with other javascript code.

Hi zeaks, this post was written quite some time ago, these days this is much easier to achieve as WordPress now includes classes on author posts.

In your css you can style an author comment by using the class .bypostauthor

Hope this helps!
